This is a beautiful set of well balanced, high quality chef's knives designed by Guy Fieri himself. They are ergonomically created to be an extension of your hand for natural comfort. A chef's knife, cleaver, Santoku knife, utility knife, paring knife, 8 beefy steak knives, knife sharpener and knife block are included in this set, along with a Proteak cutting board and bonus ERGO Chef 9 Pocket Professional Soft Knife Roll Bag. The knives' blades are made from high carbon, German stainless steel and the handles are made from ABS plastic. These knives must be hand washed and dried with a towel. The chef's knife features a crisscross knurl on the end for pulverizing garlic, nuts, etc. All of the blades are precision heat treated to 56RC. The chef knife dimensions are 8" L. The cleaver dimensions are 6.5" L. The Santoku dimensions are 5.5" L. The utility dimensions are 5.5" L. The paring and steak knives dimensions are 4" L. The handle dimensions for all knives are 4.5" L. This excellent set also includes Proteak's round 12" wood grain cutting board, handmade to meet the needs of professional chefs and serious home cooks. Cooks Illustrated tested 9 cutting boards for 3 months and Proteak finished #1 in a head to head contest. The teak wood's exceptional beauty and durability make it an ideal material for kitchen use, resisting both moisture and bacteria growth. The teak wood assumes richer, warmer tones over time and is gentle on knife blades. Proteak's end grain cutting boards are made entirely from environmentally-managed plantations. In addition to being a functional part of the kitchen accessories, they are aesthetically pleasing and add to overall kitchen decor. The cutting board dimensions are 12" D x 2" H and it weighs 6 pounds. Hand wash this teak wood board and apply mineral oil twice a year. This cutting board features a wood grain glossy finish.
