Seven tools housed comfortably in an accompanying solid oak storage block comprise this eight piece set. The 3- and 3-1/2-inch paring knives suit all tasks requiring extra hand control and dexterity. And, true to its name, the 6-inch sandwich knife cleanly cuts a peanut butter and jelly in two--but can also be used for a myriad of small-scale chopping tasks. The 8-inch cooks knife will become a household staple--ideal for chopping, dicing, and slicing--while the 8-inch bread knife effortlessly creates even slices of any rustic artisan variety. A handy pair of kitchen shears is thrown in for good measure. To complete the set, and keep all of these pieces in excellent shape, a 9-inch sharpening steel maintains excellent cutting edges.

Each German-made blade in this collection carries Wusthofs superior craftsmanship backed by a lifetime warranty. Three steel rivets securely hold the black, synthetic handle in place and give a traditional look. Producing strength and reliability, the blade, bolster, and tang are precision-forged from a single piece of high-carbon, stain-resistant steel. Knuckles remain protected, thanks to the steel bolster, while a molded handle with soft edges affords comfort and reduces hand strain.
