With over century of experience of producing the Genuine Swiss Army Knife, Wenger has channeled its expertise and technology to produce the Grand Maitre Collection. Entirely Swiss made, with a particular attention to detail, Wenger has set the industry standard of manufacturing stamped knives. The result is a knife that is flatter and lighter than forged knives, which reduces hand fatigue with long or repetitive use. Wenger uses a custom blended stainless steel with an optimal combination of strength and flexibility, (Rockwell hardness tested between 55-58 depending on the specific knife and its function), wear/corrosion resistance, and a long- lasting edge (the edge angle varies between 25 and 30 degrees, depending on the specific knife and its function). Every single knife is sharpenedand polishedby hand. Each knife is also individually inspected before and after the sharpening process. The handle is ergonomically designed, comfortable and non-slip even when wet. The handle is made from Polyamide 6; is non- porous and resistant to high temperatures. Grand Maitre was recently the highest rated knife, (judged on versatility, steel composition, edge sharpness, and wear resistance) bythe Swissconsumer program A Bon Entendeur. This versatile set with black leather roll safely stores knives and features a pocket on the outside for a business card, and small utility pocket inside. Included in the set are 9 Grand Maitre knives: Fine edge spire point paring knife 3-1/4-inch; multi-purpose knife 5-1/4-inch; Meat fork 6-inch; Boning knife 5-1/4-inch; Bread knife 8-1/2-inch; Slicing knife 12-inch; Chef knife 8-3/4-inch; Butcher steel 8-inch; and Double edged peeler.
