Our 9-Piece Shun Elite Block set features 7 of our most sought-after Elite knives, a honing steel and a beautiful bamboo block to house and protect your investment. Our Shun Elite's design is inspired by the artful aesthetics of the samurai sword. The blade is made of a unique core of SG2, an exotic powdered steel that's hardened to 64 Rockwell, resulting in an exceedingly sharp and smooth edge. This amazing metal means that Elite knives stay sharper longer than comparable stainless cutlery. The knives are then clad with two layers of SUS410 a softer stainless steel that provides strength, flexibility and corrosion protection.
