Fine craftsmanship and premium materials make this 15-piece Calphalon cutlery set a fabulous addition to any kitchen. The solid maple block comes with the following knives and implements: 4-1/2-inch paring, 6-inch utility, 8-inch slicing, 8-inch bread, 8-inch chef, 6-inch fork, 10-inch sharpening steel, six 5-inch steak knives, and kitchen shears. Horizontal slots in the angled block save wear and tear on the hand-ground blades. Each of the beautifully balanced, full-tang implements is constructed of a single forged piece of high carbon, no-stain, rust-resistant steel. Contoured for comfort, the seamless handles will not absorb moisture, crack, or chip. Each Contemporary piece is etched on the end with its name and/or size, allowing quick identification when stored in the block. The set is covered by a lifetime warranty. --Ann Bieri
