This is a beautiful set of well balanced, high quality chef's knives designed by Guy Fieri himself. They are ergonomically designed to be an extension of your hand for natural comfort. A chef's knife, Santoku knife, off-set bread knife, paring knife, 8 beefy steak knives and knife block are included in this set, along with a Proteak cutting board and bonus ERGO Chef 9 Pocket Professional Soft Knife Roll Bag. The knives' blades are made from high carbon, German stainless steel and the handles are made from one piece injection-molded durable composite material (POM). These knives must be hand washed and dried with a towel. The chef's knife features a crisscross knurl on the end for pulverizing garlic, nuts, etc. All blades are are precision heat treated to 56RC. The chef blade dimensions are 8" L. The Santoku blade dimensions are 5.5" L. The bread knife blade dimensions are 8" L. The paring and steak knives blade dimensions are 4" L. All of the handle dimensions are 4.5" L. This amazing set also includes Proteak's round 12" wood grain cutting board, created with convenient, low-profile legs that keeps the board clean and dry underneath. Cooks Illustrated tested 9 cutting boards for 3 months and Proteak finished #1 in a head to head contest. The teak wood's exceptional beauty and durability make it an ideal material for kitchen use, resisting both moisture and bacteria growth. The teak wood assumes richer, warmer tones over time and is gentle on knife blades. Proteak's end grain cutting boards are made entirely from environmentally-managed plantations. In addition to being a functional part of kitchen accessories, they are aesthetically pleasing and add to overall kitchen decor. The teak wood cutting board dimensions are 12" D x 2" H and weighs 6 pounds. This cutting board comes with legs. Hand wash this Proteak board and apply mineral oil twice a year. The finish is wood end grain glossy.
