Victorinox, makers of the Original Swiss Army Knife, has been crafting fine cutlery since the later 1800's. The Victorinox master cutlers have applied their unique ingenuity and techniques to design the highest quality, forged cutlery line. This fine cutlery is hot-drop forged and ice tempered by master forgers in Solingen, Germany exclusively for Victorinox, then shipped to Victorinox in Switzerland for application of their famous proprietary sharp edge and rigid quality control finishing. The result is beautifully balanced, perfectly weighted full tang construction, an intuitively engineered comfortable handle, a high carbon, no stain, high polished forged steel blade with an edge that retains its razor sharpness. 10-piece Knife Block Set includes: 3.5-inch Parer for precision cutting; 5-inch Serrated Knife with sharp edge teeth to cut through meat; 6-inch Utility/Sandwich Knife for peeling or slicing fruits and vegetable; 6-inch Wide Utility/Chef's Knife for slicing small pieces of meat, vegetables or fruit; 7-inch Granton Edge Santoku Knife for chopping; 8-inch Slicer for caring neat and even slices; 9-inch Bread Knife for cutting through hard crust or peel without squashing the tender middle inside; Sharpening Steel for keeping knives razor sharp; Kitchen Shear for opening packaging, trimming dough, snipping herbs, even opening bottles; 17-slot premium grade, Bamboo Block to store and protect knives and has room to add 8 Steak or Paring knives to your collection.
